Research Analyst

Anderson’s research focuses on evaluations of programs that serve disadvantaged young people and adults, public assistance recipients, and hard-to-employ populations. Her current projects are the evaluation of New York City’s Summer Youth Employment Program, the Subsidized and Transitional Employment Demonstration, and the Enhanced Transitional Jobs Demonstration. In her role as research analyst, Anderson processes a variety of data sources, conducts impact analyses, helps develop analysis plans, and coauthors reports. Before joining MDRC, Anderson worked in international health policy research at the Commonwealth Fund, where she analyzed data from international surveys and coauthored articles based on findings. She holds an MSW with a concentration in policy practice and research from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in sociology and philosophy from New York University.
