Van Kummer serves dually as a technical and an operations analyst. She conducts implementation research in the K-12 policy area, involving data management, statistical programming, and site recruitment. Before joining MDRC, Van Kummer worked in an analytic capacity at American Institutes for Research on a variety of federal and foundation grants aiming to improve outcomes in education and social services. She holds a bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University and an M.Ed. in quantitative methods from the University of Texas at Austin.
