Azurdia serves as the lead data manager for the SaveUSA project, which provides matched savings accounts for low- to moderate-income tax filers; the Opportunity NYC project, a conditional cash transfer project in New York City that serves poor families; and the Paycheck Plus project, which is studying the expansion of the Earned Income Tax Credit in New York City for low-income single workers without dependent children. In this role, she oversees the acquisition, processing, and analysis of data from a variety of sources. Azurdia has also coauthored several reports where she was responsible for presenting economic impact findings and other technical results. Azurdia has over 10 years of experience working in most phases of MDRC’s research, including program start-up, implementation analysis, survey design, and impact analysis. She holds a master’s degree in criminal justice.
