Au joined MDRC’s Survey Unit as a research assistant, helping to support and track data collection conducted by external survey firms, and then moved into a role dedicated to elevating the organization’s use of survey measures. This role included the design and development of the Survey Measures Knowledge Base, a digital library of measures used in MDRC projects. He also serves as a key member of Hubble, a workgroup whose mission is to broaden MDRC’s use of mobile technology as a means of achieving research goals. Au holds undergraduate degrees in sociology and business marketing from the State University of New York at Albany and an MBA in sustainable business management from Baruch College.
