Leacock specializes in implementation research. Most recently, she has focused on the study of Making Pre-K Count and The High 5s Project, a large-scale project designed to improve children’s math skills through programs in preschool and kindergarten. She is also working on the team for the Healthy Steps Implementation and Outcome Study funded by Zero to Three. Before joining MDRC, she worked in community-based youth development and home visiting programs. Leacock received her Master’s in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis, where she also worked as a full-time research assistant following graduation.
